Bowling - Momentum in the run up

DETAILS
Getting the foot closer to the ball - reducing the gap between bat and pad
Throw downs and reinforcing the bat closer to the pad
Work on a more purposeful run up - not strong enough to muscle the ball down the other end
Getting comfortable with the change in run up
NOTES
Presenting the full face of the bat perhaps bring the bat closer to first or second slip in the pick up
Want to make sure that nothing gets through.
The run up length is OK but needs more drive to and through the crease. Finish off the action
Ensure that there is still flight and spin.

DETAILS
Underarms to ensure that the bat is closer to the pad and full face of the bat.
Weight transfer drill onto the back foot followed by short throw downs
Give what we tried last week a go and see if it feels comfort
Accepting the ball - hands extended towards the line of the ball
NOTES
Reducing the gap between bat and pad
Ensure covering off stump that the weight is balanced and over the back foot
We should be getting a bit more pace into the delivery without sacrificing flight and turn
Use the v's as an aimer and bring the ball into you.

Using your feet and catching the ball in a balanced position
Drop downs for timing, under arms, over arms and Wanger

Effective footwork and glove work when keeping to spin
NOTES
Effective Footwork and head to the ball
Judging the flight of the ball and using your feet as well as the depth of the crease
Stability and quick transition onto the front foot and hip drive
Read the spin out of the hand staying low and taking the the ball back to the stumps

Using the pad to hit the ball
Ensuring that the back foot goes back and across covering leg side consistently and looking to play cut shots backwards and forwards of square
Line and length, asking questions of the batsman
Sideways foot movements and taking of the ball
NOTES
Look at trying to get the foot closer to the ball
Back foot parallel to the crease, weight transfer to the back leg and balanced, shoulder round and to the ball to access point region
Start putting it all together and try to get a bit of practice before trials iron out any issues
Practice effective and efficient footwork with soft hands, keeping to pace wanger
